Yeah so my husband eats Stonyfield yogurt, and on one of the lids was info on how to get a FREE bumper sticker that says "No Farms, No Food". I thought that was cool so I followed the link, put in all my info, and then they bring you to a donation page. There is no way to get around this donation page either! So this bumper sticker really isn't free?
Well don't be fooled, it really is free! You don't have to donate to get the bumper sticker. Fill out the info for the free bumper sticker, and when it brings you to the donation page...donate if you want to donate, and close your browser if you don't want to donate! That's all there is to it. So get your free bumper sticker and spread the word...NO FARMS, NO FOOD!

Last fall?
Yeah so last fall there were 2 outfits that I totally wanted!

And with this outfit I also mainly liked the sweater, but again, I still loved the idea of the outfit. Sneakers with a T-Shirt and sweater are causal with a pair of trousers and some stylish necklaces. And with a change of the shoe you could wear this to work.
This outfit I mainly wanted the sweater, but I still loved the idea of the entire outfit. This outfit could be worn to work, or to some place were you needed to dress up a little.

glittorgirl's guide to getting UN-sick!
Yeah so right now I'm sick! The in-laws were over with the kids and most everyone was sick, so of course I got sick. I've been trying some ideas out on how to get un-sick, and fast! I really hate being sick, as I'm sure most people do. So here's what I tried, and it seems to be working!
1. At the first sign of "Oh crap, I think I'm getting sick!", start drinking green tea with honey, and oj, alternatively of course. Drink all day long, but if you feel full stop until you're not full!
2. If you have a sore throat suck on Halls Breezers drops. They taste great and make your throat feel much better.
3. If you have a cough take Robitussin Cough & Chest Congestion. Most likely if you have a cough, there's phlem behind it. Also, only cough when it comes natural! Trying to make yourself cough to get phlem out just ends up making your throat, chest and head hurt when it doesn't have to. And trust me, when the phlem is ready to leave your body it will let you know!
4. If you have a clogged nose use Mucinex Nasal Spray Moisture Smart. It clears out your nose so you can actually breath, and get a good nights sleep!
5. If you have a runny nose get yourself a box of Puffs Plus with the Scent of Vicks. These tissues have it all! They are strong enough to hold a pile of mucus, and not get your hands wet. They have lotion to keep your nose soft, and smell like Vicks VapoRub which helps you breath easy.
6. If you have aches and pains take 2 Advil.
7. REST, REST, REST, and more REST!!! I can not stress this enough! Take 2 or 3 days off and just sit on the couch, watch tv, and sleep! Your body can not get better if you're all stressed out running all over the place.
8. Get a piece of paper, write down what you're taking and when you took it last. Put reminders in your phone so you don't forget to take stuff.
9. When using this regiment make sure you use each product as directed! Medications have directions for a reason.
10. And if you're not better in a week, that's 7 days, GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!
Now remember, I am NOT a doctor!!! I am just merely suggesting ways to help you feel better faster.

Running of the brides! - Boston
Yeah so this past friday was definitely an eventful day! I took part in the running of the brides, I won't get into all the madness because it makes me get really upset, so I'll just give some advice.
If you want to go for the whole running part at 8am, make sure you have 4 or 5 people. No more, no less! You have your bride, and 3 or 4 other people that are friends, family or bridesmaids that can help out. The bride obviously tries on the dresses, one person helps the bride try on the dresses. One person needs to sort the dresses on size, what the bride wants, and what can be traded. The other one or two people can go out and trade the dresses that you don't want.
We went in a group of 3, we were so tired because we didn't have enough people. And we saw a group of like 10 women, half of them were just standing around taking up space because they didn't need to be there!
So if you have more then 4 or 5 people you need to skim down your bunch so they're not taking up space. And if you have less then 4 or 5 people you need to come around 11am when most of the dresses are back on the racks, most of the brides have found a dress, and it's a little less hectic for a group of 3 or less.
And one last word of advice...when you're standing in line, it's all calm, every one is everybody's friend. But the minute those doors open, all of that goes out the window, it's every woman for themselves! You need to fight, kick, scratch, do whatever you can to get the dress of your dreams, or friends dreams. This isn't about sharing or being nice, it's about crazy women trying to find the dress of their dreams for really really cheap! So don't expect people to share. If you grab at a dress and someone else has it wrapped up in their arms, move on because those dresses are hers! There are thousands of dresses, stop waisting time and go find one you can wrap your arms around.

And you were smoking what?
Yeah so as most people know I love fashion, and I occasionally like to look at the best and worst dressed lists for different award shows. WELL...whom ever decided the best and worst dressed list for the Golden Globes was on CRACK! I LOVE Drew Barrymore, but what the hell did she have on? And her hair, she looked like she left the top down on her convertible on the way over. I really don't understand how some of those people ended up on the best dressed list when they looked like crap! And there were a bunch of stars on the worst dressed list that I thought looked really good.
Shouldn't have been on the worst dressed list:
-Miley Cyrus
-Anne Hathaway
-Christina Applegate
-America Ferrera
-Salma Hayek
-Hayden Panettiere
-Amanda Seyfried
-Julie Benz

Kids love Brooklyn!
Yeah so they may look like they're screaming in pain in some of these pictures, but they were actually screaming with joy! They were running up and sliding down the doors for atleast 10 minutes...that's like forever in baby time!

Look out Chinese people!
Yeah so it's a slow sunday evening, I'm flipping through the tv stations trying to find something to watch. Ooh! Funny wedding crap, that's always good for a few minutes! As I'm watching I see this guy with a straw on a string pinned to his crotch, and his legs are bent and he's moving his hips all around. OH! This has to be a Chinese wedding! Well sure enough it was, but even if it wasn't the idea is GENIUS! I wish we got to do that at our wedding!
So for any one who would like to do this to a loved one getting married. Take a straw and tape it to a piece of string about 1 foot long. Then pin the string to your grooms crotch, to his pants of course. After that's done blind fold him and place a beer bottle under the straw that is now hanging from his crotch. The idea is for the groom to get the straw into the beer bottle...a little practice for his wedding night if you know what I mean!?!
Anywho-As you can tell I love this idea and can't wait for some one in my husbands family to get married so we can make them do this! And get it on video!

This is what I learned yesterday!
Yeah so when you go to the beach it is always good to wear sunscreen, which I do. And even if your legs are pasty white and never get color it is still good to put sunscreen on them because when you least expect it they will burn in a random patchy manor and you'll end up with camo legs!

Best bread recipe in the world!!
Yeah so I've been making bread on and off for a few years now, but every time I make it the taste isn't quite right and it never rises, which makes the bread dense. A friend of mine makes his own bread and it is really good! So I asked for the recipe and made it up a few times, and again, it was very dense and didn't taste that well, which was weird since his wasn't like that. What the hell am I doing wrong!?! All I want to do is make a yummy risey bread. Well my husband said that he knows some one at work that has like 5 kids and makes like a loaf a bread a day, so he asked him for his recipe. Well when I got around to making it, boy was it good! Light, airy, sweet and a crunchy crust...I needs to get me some sammich meat now!
Honey Whole Wheat Bread:
11 oz. Lukewarm water
1 Tbspn. Yeast
1 Tbspn. Sugar
1 1/2 Cups Whole wheat flour (Pack flour firmly in measuring cup)
1 1/2 Cups White flour (Pack flour firmly in measuring cup)
2 Tbspn. Gluten
1 Tsp. Salt
1 Tbspn. Molasses
2 Tbspn. Olive oil
2 Tbspn. Honey
In a small bowl mix together the water, yeast and sugar. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes. When the 5 minutes is up add the molasses, oil and honey, and lightly stir until combined. Set aside. In a medium bowl mix together the flours, gluten and salt. Then add the yeast mixture to the flour mixture. Combine with hands until a ball is formed. Knead the ball for 10 minutes. Put kneaded ball into a lightly oiled bowl, and cover with a towel. Place bowl in a warm spot and let rise for 20 minutes. When the 20 minutes is up punch down the dough to get all the air out. Recover and put in a warm spot for another 20 minutes. When that 20 minutes is up punch the dough down again, removing all the air. Then split the dough in half and place each half in an oiled 9x5x2 inch loaf pan. Let rise in a warm spot for 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 350*F, then bake for 35 minutes, until medium brown. Remove each bread from the pan and let cool completely on a wire rack. When completely cooled you can freeze it, fridge it or leave it out on the counter. But just remember it will go moldy faster when you don't put it in the fridge or freezer. And most of all enjoy your tasty bread!

GREEN = money
Yeah so I know for a fact that Walmart peeps are a bunch of money grubbing whores! In the past month they did this GREEN promotion where they talked about if every one that shops at Walmart bought this one product it would do something really great. Cool, Walmart is going GREEN!
Well recently there have been 2 new Walmart commercials. One where there were a bunch of people in a car going some where and in the back seat was a Walmart bag. Well the Walmart bag was PLASTIC! And the second commercial had a family celebrating summer with a family picnic, and the items for the picnic were from Walmart. And how they showed that the items were from Walmart was a Walmart bag. Again the bag was PLASTIC!
WTF!?! Walmart peeps are a bunch of money grubbing whores! If they were truly trying to be GREEN they would have had a canvas bag with WALMART written in bold letter on the front of it.
Walmart, it's great that you have low prices and give back to the community in so many ways. But if you're talking about being more GREEN, then actually be GREEN! I think you'd actually make even more money if you kept with the GREEN theme. People like me see your commercials and don't want to shop at your stores because they see you're a bunch of liars! And all because of a little plastic bag. If you had just used a canvas bag I don't think you would have pissed people off! People like me would have thought that you actually cared about the environment and continued to shop at your stores because they would have thought you cared!
But like usual, I was wrong, Walmart's just a big corporation that only cares about the all mighty dollar. So to Walmart being GREEN is just another term for making money. Sham on you Walmart, sham on you! I think it's time you get your priorities straight! It's not all about the money, it's about the people. Because with out the people there is no Walmart, and there is no money!

I feel so bad
Yeah so as most of you know I have 2 cats, Hermes and Zazou. We also have a screened in porch where they love to be ALL summer long. Well just recently I've noticed a little grey cat wondering around our property. He seemed to be really nice, even my female cat who hisses at anything she doesn't know didn't hiss at this cat. But then my male cat, Hermes, noticed the little grey kitty. Well he freaked out, big time! Ran right over to him and puffed up, he was also climbing the wall trying to find any way to get to him.
So of course for the safety of my cats I had to shew the little grey cat away. I carefully went outside and tried to shew him away. Well he just ran right up to me and started meowing and purring, and he wanted me to pet him so bad! OMG, he was so sweet, but I had to shew him away with a water bottle because he wouldn't go.
I felt so bad because he was such a great little kitty. I wanted to take him inside and keep him because his owners let him go outside, he doesn't have a collar, and they live on a main road. That cat was way to sweet to have owners like that, and it also seemed like he got along with my kitties, so it would all work out!
So still to this day he shows up in our flowers and every time I see him he meows excitedly at me. But I have to shew him away with a water bottle because he makes Hermes go absolutely insane. And every time I feel so bad because he's such a nice kitty.

Water wasted
Yeah so some where I read some thing on some ones blog about putting the water that they didn't finish drinking in a container and using it to water plants. Well I thought that was a great idea! Then I said to myself "Self, I wonder how much water we waste in a months time?" So I got a container out and started filling it with our used water. Yesterday was the last day of the month, so today I took a picture of how much water we would have wasted in a months time if we didn't do this.
OR
224 Ounces
That's a lot of water we would have wasted in 1 month! Kinda makes you think of how much water we waste in general!

WOW, I really do have a knack for fashion!
Yeah so almost 2 years ago I was going to start these 2 crazy trends where you put a tank top under a skinny strap tank, or under a tube top dress. For me it didn't quite work out since I'm a little top heavy, but I think for a smaller person it would work. And come to find out I was actually right, I remember seeing some girl wearing my tank and tube top dress idea, and it looked so cute! Then just a few minutes ago I was bored and scrolling around GAP.com and I see this picture:

Wow, I'm WAY beyond fashion! I think I may actually have a knack for this stuff...I just wish I went to college for it now, I'd be rollin in the dough!

Walmart save the earth commercials
Yeah so I love these new Wal-Mart "GREEN" commercials! They talk about light bulbs, Sun chips, organic coffee, recycled coke bottle cotton t-shirts, PUR water filters, and Silk soy milk (Not to sure about the Green Works products, haven't done any research on them!). They talk about how these products are saving the earth and if ALL of Wal-Mart's customers buys just one it would save a shit load of stuff! Now I like that kind of advertising, advertising for our earth!
Now some of the big wigs at Wal-Mart prolly only care about making money by any means necessary, but ya know what, they're still sending a positive message with their commercials and that's all I care about!

Now that you know what you can do to help out, go out and have some fun celebrating earth day! And remember, just because earth day is once a year doesn't mean that you can only do these things once a year. I encourage everyone to try and make these things apart of your daily routine! A store to love
Yeah so one store I would really like to shop more in is Banana Republic. There fashions are always great and they always have great colors, the only problem is price! Most of their items are really expensive and I'd only be able to buy two things when I actually have money to shop. And at the moment I can't do that because I'm in the middle of building my wardrobe so I'm not wearing the same things over and over and over again. Wearing them down and making me have to start a new each time I get money to shop! But eventually I'll have built my wardrobe and I'll be able to buy atleast one item from there every time I have money to shop, so I'm happy!
Well today I finally got a chance to go through my email and I see an email from Banana Republic, I didn't know they were going green!?! That makes me want to buy even more things in their store! Now all they need to do is recycle their clothing. Things that don't sell, reinvent them into something new!
Another thing they have going at the moment, for earth day of course, is their greener cities program. When you shop at Banana Republic from April 22nd-27th they will be donating 1% of their sales, up to $100,000, to The Trust for Public Land, a non-profit dedicated to conserving urban green spaces. And if you can't shop online or in store on those days you can check out this link where you can donate to the cause. I hope you do, I know I will!

In the name of the earth!
Yeah so I'm big on recycling, I try to do what I can to reuse what I can, and recycle what I can't. I also try to buy as much biodegradable products as I can. I basically try to be as green as possible, and I do it quick and easy! Also every few months I try to think of something new I can add to my routine so eventually everything I do is green!
Anywho-One thing I have just come across is recycled clothing. A company called Urban Outfitters has clothing for men and women, along with shoes, accessories and things for the home. Well like most stores not everything gets sold. And unlike most companies they try and reinvent the items that don't get used so they're not wasting materials, and I think that's great! It's called Urban Renewal, and I hope you check it out!

Yeah so one of my pet peeves is the fact that most schools use rocks as ground cover on their playgrounds. Whatever happened to good old fashion grass? And if that's to difficult to keep looking nice, what about recycled tires?
I'm sure schools these days push earth day, and being green, on kids so they can help the environment. So why not practice what you preach!?! Give kids a safe place to play, and teach them about recycling all in one shot.
And if you don't have the money to do so, it's called fund raising!! There are so many different ways to make money for schools theses day (I wish some one would try it instead of trying to raise taxes). This would teach kids that you don't get anything for free, and if you work hard you'll be rewarded!

Dreams can come true!
Yeah so my dreams are finally coming true, slowly, but surely!
I've always said that eventually everything will flip. Instead of 80% stuff and 20% organic, it will be 80% organic and 20% stuff. And eventually everything will be organic, but I doubt I'll see that in my life time.
Looking around in the supermarkets, and online in clothing and home good stores I see more and more organic, natural and biodegradable things. I also hear the word green a lot more, green...that wonderful word!
Eventually we will live in a world where everything will be recycled, organic, natural and biodegradable. Everyone will conserve water and electricity. Solar, wind, and cow poop power will be efficient, and readily available.
There are so many other things that I'm forgetting about at the moment, but you get the point...healthier lives lived on a happier earth!

If you blinked....
Yeah so as we know Jericho was canceled, then brought back this past February. CBS ordered like 8 more episodes, and they showed them all. Well I noticed the second to last episode there was a preview for next weeks episode, and it said "SERIES FINALE". WHAT!?!
I waited for the next weeks episode and I waited for them to say what they usually say "Next on CBS the series finale of Jericho". Well nothing like that happened. And the ending possibly could have been a series finale, but looked more like a season finale. All I know is CBS needs to make up it's mind...either keep the show or cancel it! I vote KEEP!
So for anyone out there who likes Jericho I would write CBS to make sure they keep it around!

Ya gotta hate it!
Yeah so every now and again there are a few things in life that just drive me crazy. Commercials happen to be one of those things that are annoying. There are 3 company's who's commercials bother me the most!
The D' D commercial where all these people are rushing to the supermarket, and when I say everyone I mean everyone! There's a guy in a kayak...on dry land! Anywho-they're all rushing to the supermarket to get D' D coffee because it's now at the supermarket. Well then I think to myself, don't they already sell that at D' D? And isn't there a D' D on EVERY corner? You could have just gone there to get it, ya didn't have to rush to the supermarket to get it! Or even wait for it to come to the supermarket! Dumbasses!
Then of course there's another D' D commercial were a lady comes in and asks for a large, the girl behind the counter says dieci. They go back and forth with the large/dieci, even trying to spell it. Then finally the lady asks "What's a dieci?", the girl behind the counter says "It's a large". You've got to be kidding me, you stupid pretentious pompous arrogant bitch! If large and dieci are the same thing, then why did you have to be a bitch when she said large in the first place? Oh yeah that's right, you think you're better then everyone else because you work in a crappy expensive coffee house!
The FCR.C commercial where the guy's singing his song and says something about dressing for the job he wants, not the job he's in, so why is he dressed up like a pirate serving food. Gee...I wonder...maybe because it's a uniform!?! You kinda can't wear a suit and tie when you're serving food! So maybe you should dress like that out side of work ya dumbass! Then there's another commercial about his car. He's clearly not dressed nice, so he clearly doesn't want a good job! And I think those girls are laughing at you guys cuz you're a bunch of dorks singing, with instruments, in your car!
And the IHOP commercial where this cop pulls over a kid for some reason, then all off a sudden he's putting whipped cream on the ticket. Then the two of them are at IHOP eating stacks of pancakes. Yeah, that's a little creepy...I think that kid is under 18, and you're a cop so you should know better!

Who's chasing who?
Yeah so this past christmas I captured a bunch of videos of my nieces and nephew. Here's one where they were running around the island in the kitchen. I'm not quite sure if they were chasing after each other or just having fun running around the island, you be the judge.

Me want cookies!
Yeah so for some reason I've been craving chocolate chip cookies for the longest time. So today my sexy man and I made some!
Now I've made several batches of chocolate chip cookies in my time, using several different recipes. But when it comes down to it, no one beats Nestle Toll House! There are only 2 things that I do different with the recipe. 1, I don't add nuts, but I will add more chocolate to compensate for the lost nuts. And 2, I use dark chocolate chips, I don't really like semi-sweet.
So if you're craving some chocolate chip cookies get your lazy ass off the couch, print that recipe out, get in the kitchen and get baking. Cause when you're done you'll have some damn ass tasty cookies to shove in your mouth! Just make sure you have an ice cold glass of milk to wash them down, that dark chocolate can get pretty rich.

It's like I forgot about it....
Yeah so awhile back I wrote about some smoothies that I made. There was a 3rd one, but I never got around to posting it. So I decided to not be lazy and post it.
Tofruigurt smoothie:
* 1 piece of a mushy fruit...a banana, mango, peach, nectarine....
* 1/3 cup of fruit juice...orange, pineapple...whatever you think will complement your piece of fruit.
* 1/4 of a block of silken tofu.
* Fat free french vanilla yogurt...I used about 4 large spoonfuls.
* 3 ice cubes.
Put fruit, juice, and tofu in blender and blend till smooth. Then add yogurt and mix till well blended. Add ice cubes to a tall glass, pour smoothie on top, and enjoy!

And we all fall down...well atleast me!
Yeah so yesterday my sexy man and I went snowboarding at Wachusett Mountain, and boy are my arms tired! No wait, that's not how that goes, arms go with flying.
Anywho- I'm rambling! Even though I wasn't flying my arms really are tired, well more stiff....and my legs and my neck. My ass and knees are just sore! I fell a bunch of times and wiped out twice. The first time I wiped out I don't remember how it happened, I just remember falling on my ass and slamming my head on the ground, I instantly teared up! I didn't cry, I just got a little misty eyed because of shock! You see I usually don't fall on my ass and slam my head into the ground, even with the fact that I'm a klutz! But I got back up and kept on boarding! The second time I wiped out, again, I have no clue what happened. This time was even worse! I fell on my ass and slammed my head on the ground, that was the bounce, cuz right after that I flipped over. My hat and sun glasses flew off just out of arms reach. After that I can't remember if I did some more boarding or took a little break in the lodge, cuz at that point my head was kinda wobbling!
While I was in the lodge the sexy man took a run on the green and on the black. Then we had lunch! After lunch I had to pee and fix my boots so the sexy man took another run on the black. We then proceeded from the kid bunny slope to the green bunny slope! I did much better, it was a little steeper but it was double the length so I had more time to get it. The sexy man said we should take a break, so we did, then we proceeded to the green mountain...like the full slope! I definitely fell a lot! But atleast I knew I was going to fall and I was able to slow my self down before I fell. I think we did the green run 2 times before I realized I needed a break.
While I was breaking the sexy man did 2 more runs on the black. During my break I realized how stiff I was and that I was done for the day. So when he was done with his runs we packed up and headed home! All in all it was a great day! We had perfect weather, I had a hot teacher, a couple of guys were kinda hitting on me, and I was able to do what my hot teacher taught me! I can't wait till February when we go again!

This is # 4!
Yeah so I've won 4 things in my entire life! In the 7th grade I won a Halloween costume contest, I won some crappy tape. Then a few years back I won a Josie and the Pussycats comic book, this was around the time that the movie came out. Then a little after that I won some game, it was like scene it or something...no clue! Then today I go and get the mail and there's a package from Prescriptives. It's this great make-up company that actually labels it's make-up with a colorprint, so you know what shade to wear! I'm a blue/red! Anywho-I was like, I didn't order anything!?! So I open up the package and there's a tube of mascara inside with a note saying I'm a Prescriptives lucky breaks winner...SWEET! Finally I win something that I can actually use!

Worm boogies
Yeah so over the past 5 days I've had these really weird boogies that come out of my left nostril. I start to blow my nose and if sounds and feels like there's tons of stuff coming out, like when you're sick. But when I pull the tissue away there's just this 2 or 3 inch skinny boogie that kinda looks like a worm. It's crazy! And this morning it didn't fully come out of my nose so I had to pull it out with the tissue...it was awesome!
